Billing and plans
The four plans, what the trial actually gives you, what happens when limits bite, and who is allowed to change any of it.
Settings, Billing shows your current plan, what it renews to, and your payment method.
The plans
Four: Free, Solo, Team and Enterprise.
They differ in two ways: how much you can hold (projects, organizations, contacts, employees, CVs, integrations, API keys) and how many invoices you can issue per month.
The number that surprises people is on Free: one issued invoice per calendar month. If you try for a second, the checklist blocks you with "Your plan includes one invoice per month." Solo and above are unlimited.
Two things do not count against that limit: drafts, and corrections. A correction of an invoice is exempt, so fixing a mistake never costs you your month's allowance.
Prices are shown live on the billing screen rather than in this documentation, because a price written into a help page is a price that goes stale.
The trial
New workspaces start with full access for a period, and the screen counts down the days left. When it ends you are not locked out of your data; you drop to what your plan allows.
That is worth planning for if you created a lot during the trial. Being over a limit does not delete anything; it stops you creating more of that thing.
Changing plan
Upgrade and Downgrade change the plan; Switch billing cycle moves between monthly and yearly.
Steerd tells you the effect before you confirm: roughly what gets added to your next invoice, and what your new recurring total is. Changes are prorated rather than starting a fresh billing period.
Who can change it
Only an owner. Billing management is the one permission an admin does not hold, and it cannot be granted ad hoc:
Only an owner or admin can change the plan
When payment fails
The status line says "Payment past due, update your payment method to keep access".
Take that seriously and act on it when you see it, because Steerd will not chase you. There is no dunning email, no escalating reminder, and nothing that tells you a card expired other than this line on a screen you may not visit often. The same is true of your own unpaid invoices, for the same reason. See Payment and due dates.
Your receipts
Manage subscription opens the billing portal, where your payment method and your invoices from us live. Those are separate from the invoices you issue to your own clients, which are in Invoices.
