The list and the board

Two views of the same projects, the turn-state that says whose move it is, and the filters worth knowing.

Kanban view and List view show the same projects. Switch with the control at the top right.

The board

One lane per pipeline stage, projects as cards. Drag a card to another lane to move the project through the pipeline; the move is saved immediately.

Dragging is fully keyboard accessible and announces itself, so the board is not mouse-only.

Board zoom shrinks or grows the cards. With eight stages on a laptop, zooming out is the difference between seeing your pipeline and scrolling it.

The list

A table: title, client, contact, status, value, created. Better when you want to sort or scan many projects at once, and better on a narrow screen.

Whose turn is it

Every project carries a turn-state, and this is the most useful field on the board:

  • My turn, you owe them something,
  • Their turn, you are waiting,
  • Neutral.

It answers the question you actually have on a Monday morning, which is not "what stage is this in" but "what is waiting on me".

Filters

  • Search, by title.
  • Status, to narrow to one.
  • Turn, to see only your move or only theirs.
  • Needs attention, the one worth pinning. See Attention warnings.
