What Steerd is
Steerd is a CRM for people who sell their own time. It follows a piece of work from the first inquiry to a paid invoice.
Steerd is a CRM for people who sell their own time: freelancers, contractors, and small teams who bill for their work.
It follows one thing end to end. An inquiry arrives, becomes a project, the project accumulates tracked hours and travel costs, and those turn into an invoice that satisfies German invoicing law. Everything else in the product exists to serve that path.
What it covers
Sales. Projects move through a pipeline you configure. Each one points at the organization you are billing and the person you are talking to.
People. Employees and their CVs, so a team can pitch the right person for the work. CVs export to PDF, Word, and JSON Resume.
Finance. Time tracking, travel expenses with statutory per diems, and invoices, including e-invoicing in the XRechnung and ZUGFeRD formats.
Everything around it. A shared file store, an inbox that connects to your mailbox, an audit log, and an API.
What it is not
Steerd is not accounting software. It produces invoices and exports; it does not keep your books, file your VAT return, or talk to your tax advisor's system for you.
It is also not a buy-side tool. It tracks the work you sell, not the suppliers you buy from.
Who it is for
The product is built first for freelancers and small teams working in Germany, so the invoicing, VAT, and travel expense rules are the German ones by default. Nothing stops you using it elsewhere, but the statutory parts assume Germany unless you tell them otherwise.
If you would rather see it than read about it, Your first 15 minutes walks from an empty account to a finished invoice.
