Pulling messages in
Searching your mailbox, the "likely inquiries" filter, and the fifty-message cap.
Import from mailbox opens a picker:
Pick the emails you want to review.
Searching
Choose the mailbox, then search. The search box takes your provider's own syntax, so
label:unread works on Gmail exactly as it does in Gmail.
Likely inquiries only
A filter that narrows to messages that look like new work, with a Likely badge on each.
It is a heuristic, not a judgment. Turn it off when you are looking for something specific and it is not showing up, because "likely" is a guess and yours is better.
The cap
You can import up to 50 messages at once.
Fifty is a review queue. More than that is a backlog nobody works through, and the cap exists to stop you creating one in a single click.
What importing does
It queues the selected messages for review. Nothing becomes a project yet:
{count}queued for review.
If some of what you picked was already handled, it says that too, rather than silently importing duplicates:
{queued}queued ·{handled}already handled.

Each queued message waits in Pending until you open it. See Reviewing and confirming.
